The tourist promotion and welcome operator receives and welcomes tourists and meets their informational needs regarding the services offered in the area. They engage in activities related to customer relations, ensuring proper communication and monitoring customer satisfaction. They provide tourist information regarding itineraries, places to visit, forms of entertainment, etc. They serve at facilities such as Tourist Information and Welcome Centers (IAT) or at category associations (e.g. hotelier associations) or at tourist development consortia (often publicly funded or non-profit). In carrying out their work, they coordinate with the heads of the information and welcome service, as well as with the managers of the facility where they work, taking responsibility for their tasks. They primarily work in contact with the public.
