Execution of sorting and storage activities for food products
Description of the needs expressed by the production chains
The food counter operator is responsible for selling food products at the counter, providing customers with information about the quality and characteristics of the products on sale, ensuring hygiene and cleanliness of the spaces and equipment, and displaying the products within the counter, while controlling their food quality, preparing and packaging the product according to customer requests. In some contexts, they also handle storage and movement of goods/products. They mainly work under an employment contract in small or large commercial enterprises and within the Organized Large Distribution. They can work alone or in teams, reporting their work to their direct supervisor.
