PROFESSIONAL PROFILE DESCRIPTION

This professional figure knows the characteristics of wood and has theoretical and practical knowledge of the main processing techniques. They complete the work with finishing operations, also through the use of operating machinery.

Obtaining the professional qualification is essential for practicing as a self-employed professional and for employment in companies in the sector.

TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

BASIC MODULES:

• Promotion of equal opportunity conditions in the workplace and relevant regulations

• Introductory notions of ecology and environment, sustainable development, and any relevant sector-specific regulations

• IT and web: theoretical knowledge and practical use of tools

• Prevention and safety regulations in the workplace (Legislative Decree 626/94 and subsequent amendments and additions)

• Introductory notions of regulations on workers' rights and duties, including reference to the methods and features of standard and non-standard contracts. Collective bargaining

• Introductory notions of the current tax system

• Introductory notions of project financing: incentive laws, structural funds, self-employment

SPECIALIZATION MODULES:

• Fundamentals of history: the art and technique of carpentry

• Fundamentals of mathematics, physics, technical drawing

• Wood processing techniques and processes: selection and preparation of components, methods of intervention for the construction and repair of wooden furniture, assembly and disassembly of elements

• Execution, reading, and interpretation of technical-artistical drawings

• Finishing operations: polishing or lacquering, painting, enameling, or gilding

• Preparation of materials and use of work tools
