PROFESSIONAL PROFILE DESCRIPTION

The professional works actively in the treatment of clinical phenomena through the appropriate formulation of diagnosis, therapy, and rehabilitation; in addition to the treatment of mental disorders, it also involves the analysis of physical illness understood as a closely connected phenomenon.

Obtaining the qualification also enables job placement, including through registration with employment centers, in both public and private organizations in the sector.

TECHNICAL-PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

BASIC MODULES:

  • Promotion of equal opportunity conditions in the workplace and relevant regulations

  • Introduction to ecology and the environment, sustainable development, and any relevant sector-specific regulations

  • IT and web: theoretical knowledge and practical use of tools

  • Prevention and protection rules in the workplace (Legislative Decree 626/94 and subsequent amendments)

  • Introduction to the regulations on workers’ rights and duties, including the characteristics and modalities of standard and non-standard employment contracts. Collective bargaining

  • Introduction to the current tax system

  • Introduction to project financing: incentive laws, structural funds, self-employment

SPECIALIZATION MODULES:

  • Relevant legislation, with particular attention to Law 56/89 "Regulation of the profession of psychologist" and subsequent amendments

  • Concept of mental and physical health: clinical psychology as an integrated study of mental and physical processes

  • General and developmental psychology, social psychology, and group psychology

  • Psychotherapy: prevention and intervention techniques

  • Psychodiagnostics: general psychopathology and psychopathology of developmental age, tests and assessment tools
