PROFESSIONAL PROFILE DESCRIPTION

The professional figure is familiar with treatments and services aimed at improving the aesthetic appearance and physiological condition of the hair (hair loss prevention, hair thickening). They are also able to shape, by cutting and thinning, the beard and any unwanted facial hair.

Obtaining the professional qualification allows enrollment with employment centers and working either as a self-employed professional or as an employee in a hairdressing salon.

TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

BASIC MODULES:

• Promotion of equal opportunity conditions in the workplace and relevant legislation

• Basics of ecology and the environment, sustainable development and any relevant sector-specific legislation

• Computer science and the web: theoretical knowledge and practical use of tools

• Health and safety regulations in the workplace (Legislative Decree 626/94 and subsequent amendments and additions)

• Basics of legislation on workers’ rights and duties, also with reference to the methods and characteristics of standard and non-standard contracts. Collective bargaining

• Basics of the tax system in force

• Basics of project financing: incentive laws, structural funds, self-employment

SPECIALIZATION MODULES:

• Sector legislation and regulations

• Knowledge of techniques for cutting and caring for beard and hair

• Knowledge of cosmetic techniques for hair thickening and strengthening

• Design techniques for creating hairstyles and extensions
